Yana Gupta goes topless

Sushmitha Sen: Hot Even At 37

This is Sushmitha Sen who brought fame to India in 1994 by getting crowned as Miss Universe and rest of the years for her self. She is now 37 but still looks hot in pose, posture and personality. This is her latest pose to a still camera projecting her buxom bosoms wearing a tight top and body fit jeans. See and enjoy folks.

Rajinikanth - What a Simple Human Being.

Is this Super Star Rajni Kanth? Yes, no doubt but true. How can he live life so simple in these many instances? Even earlier many of his pics have come out those carry no glam or grandeur. This is the latest picture where he is coming out from a Church in Chennai after offering a prayer.

He even doesn’t look like a film actor and as per the matter of fact he is the man who is ruling millions of hearts with his trade mark dialogue punch and star power. He is the renowned actor not just in Indian Cinema but also has huge fan following in countries like Japan, Korea (the natives of those countries those have no roots in India) as well.

Some say he is simple because he gets value for that simplicity since he is super star. Many say that he is Super Star because he is simple at heart!

Ravi Teja 'Veera' Review: Outdated Action -Weak Comedy

Rating: 2/5
Banner:
 Sanvi Productions
Cast: Ravi Teja, Kajal, Taapsee, Shyam, Roja, Nasser, Brahmanandam, Ali, Venu Madhav, Divya Vani, Krishnudu
Music: S S Thaman
Cinematography: Chota K Naidu
Dialogues: Paruchuri Brothers
Story, screenplay, direction: Ramesh Varma
Producer: Ganesh Indukuri
Release date: 20/05/2011

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is back after his successful ‘Mirapakaya’ and this time, he has teamed up with Ramesh Varma of ‘Ride’ fame. Let us see how this is

Story:
ACP Shyamsunder (Shyam) is a tough and honest cop who gets into a tussle with the local don (Rahul Dev).
The don threatens Shyam’s family and the police department arranges for the family’s security. In comes Veera (Ravi Teja) as the protector and he mixes with the family but Shyam’s wife (Sridevi) doesn’t like him.
Meanwhile, there is Aikey (Taapsee) who falls for Veera and tries to woo him with Tiger (Brahmi) trying to cause trouble. The story takes a turn when Shyam discovers that Veera is not the real security officer. Who is Veera? Why does he come to help Shyam and his family? What happens to Aikey’s love story? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Ravi Teja has given an energetic and intense performance. He has done justice in all scenes and infused life into his character.
Kajal Agarwal looks alright. Unlike her previous films which give her a sensuous and classy look, she looks rather rustic in this one. She has increased the glamour dose.
Taapsee is a visual feast as usual and scores with her oomph factor. She must try and control her facial expressions as she ends up overdoing at times.
Shyam looks handsome and though his role is limited, he made his presence felt. He fits the bill like a cop and his body language is assertive.
Sridevi looks naturally sweet but she was unable to give contained expressions during emotional scenes, it looked superficial.
Pradeep Rawath was loud, Divya Vani was irritating, Brahmi’s comedy was childish, Venu Madhav was okay, Roja came and went, Nasser was natural. The others did their bit as required.

Highlights:
  • Cinematography
  • Glamour quotient of Kajal, Taapsee
  • Chitti Chitti song choreography
  • Chinnari Chinni Navvu, a bit song
Drawbacks
  • Outdated storyline
  • Heavy overdose of weak sentiment
  • Crass comedy
  • Pale Dialogues
  • Spineless narrative
  • Dragged second half
Analysis:
A film has to make people hysterical with the narration- be it comedy or tragedy or action. Only then the audiences connect to film forgetting the surroundings. When the audiences start looking into each others’ faces to share pain with dullness, that itself proves to be a debacle.
There is always a fine line between coming up with a good script and getting it the right way on the screen. As such, the theme of the film was appealing but the director failed to get it onscreen in a convincing manner. While the emotional situations lacked strength, the serious scenes reminded of few other movies.
Technically and production wise, the standard is not compromised but content and the way it was executed plays the spoilsport. Though the pace was maintained, there was not enough grip on the script to get the audience into the film.
Calling husband with the word ‘penimiti’ sounds odd and disgusting with its old flavor. Paruchuri Brothers lost power in their pen for sure. Ravi Teja appears weak with his pale love track with Kajal. On the other hand he comes as a elderly village men and fights with antagonists. The main crux of the movie should be dealt in second half but the director over loaded the theme with number of emotions and characters. Hence he failed to make it gripping. The scenes those were kept as suspense weren’t revealed interestingly and the suspense hold itself is not gripping. The comedy scenes between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam also fail to bring adequate laughs.
Nothing is gripping in this movie except the 5 minutes before interval. And again the bumpy journey starts till the end.
Overall, this is a film which gives a stale taste of boredom even to the masses. At the box office, chances of success are highly unlikely.

Bottomline: Gives boredom and tiresomeness

'Dussasana' Review: Third Degree Torture (Worse Movie)

Film: Dussasana
Rating: 0/5
Banner:
 Laughing Lords Entertainment
Cast: Srikanth, Tashu Kaushik, Sanjjanaa, Kota, Tanikella Bharani, Krishna Bhagvan, Brahmanandam and others
Music:Srilekha
Camera: A Raja
Director: Posani Krishnamurali
Producer: Murali Krishna
Release date: 27/05/2011

Mental Krishna is back!! Yes, we are talking about Posani Krishna Murali and this time he has come up with yet another creative thought of his. Whether it was creative or crap let us see.

Story:
A man dressed like Che Guevara keeps walking in the streets and does few weird things in the name of justice. He calls himself common man (Srikanth) and despite his weird antics, the police can’t do much. In no time, the media gets their coverage on him and so does the public with their problems.
The common man becomes the messiah and he goes around slippering the ministers (Kota, Tanikella, Chalapathi Rao). Not stopping at that, he also kidnaps the Chief Minister’s daughter (Sanjjanaa) along with a news correspondent Sunitha (Tashu Kaushik).
The matter goes to the CM and enquiry about common man begins. Who is this common man? Why is he going around like a madman and why is the law not stopping him? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Srikanth has only two expressions – blank and crying. He keeps walking like a robot and when he will get mood no one knows. Given his image, it is time he realises that these are not the roles for him.
Tashu Kaushik was expressive and despite her brief screen time, she makes her presence felt. She has shown potential.
Sanjjanaa was glamorous but she is yet to improve on her acting skills.
Kota was predictable, Tanikella was not used to his fullest, Brahmanandam was impish, Chalapathi Rao was regular, the actress doing Srikanth’s wife role was pretty. Krishna Bhagawan was okay, Kondavalasa was brief, Balayya was matured. The others didn’t have much to offer.

Highlights
  • None!!!
Drawbacks
  • Illogical storyline
  • Disgusting and intolerable emotional scenes
  • Crazy characterisation of protagonist
  • Mindless logic for sending a message
Analysis
It is an open fact that Posani is crazy and with each passing day his insanity is reaching its peak. That is once again seen in his latest flick. Picking half knowledge of law and adding his own theories to it, Posani comes up with some constipating theme much to the torture of the audience.
Some of the classic examples for his madness are - CM’s daughter giving interview to TV news channel in swim costume, Hero walking with the dead body of his wife on streets, Minister and family taking mugs and going to the roads for toilet, Minister forced to drink drainage water from tap and many more. Shameless portrayal of scenes and crass logic are Posani’s specialties. Usually if few members rape one person it is gangrape but what do you call a single person raping the entire set of audience.
There will not be a single audience who will come out of the theatre without feelings of disgust, frustration, embarrassment and torture. While the first half freaks the viewer out of his wits thanks to the portrayal of the protagonist, the second half adds more to the madness by some ‘mind blowing’ sequences. Overall, this is one film which will take tons of guts and nerves of iron to watch and come out in one piece.

Bottomline: Shocking than mental asylum, painful than third degree torture

Hero Varun Sandesh Trying for Six Pack

The six pack mania seems to be still on and while the top league heroes have already done their part, here is another layer of stars who are gearing up for it. Already, there is news that actor Sunil would be flashing his six pack in the new movie which is currently in shooting.

It looks he will now be joined by another person. That is none other than Varun Sandesh. Sources say the lean and lanky lad has decided to go in for the dream abs. However, he will be looking to put on some mass on his body first and then convert it into a six pack, as per sources.

Another update is that Varun is reportedly consulting a fitness specialist and a workout trainer in order to follow the right kind of diet, exercises. If all goes well, we might be seeing this lean hero become a large size hero with a six pack ab. Let us hope these six packs bring some success at the box office.

Rajinikanth out of ICU, moved into private ward

Actor Rajinikanth, who was being treated at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), was shifted back to his private ward on Sunday.

Doctors at the hospital said he responded well to treatment. "We moved him into the ward only after making sure he was completely fit. Hope we can discharge him soon," said a senior doctor.

The 61-year-old cine idol was admitted to the hospital on Saturday after he complained of breathlessness. He was diagnosed and treated for recurrent respiratory illness and gastro intestinal disorders at a private ward, a suite on the seventh floor of the hospital. On May 18, he was shifted to the intensive care unit, where he underwent dialysis. Doctors diagnosed that he had too much fluid in his blood. They put him through haemodialysis, and also removed fluid surrounding his chest that was pressing against the lungs and causing difficulty in breathing. He was given oxygen at regular intervals, pumped with antibiotics and transfused blood.

On May 19, senior cardiologist Dr S Thanikachalam, who was heading a team of specialists treating Rajini, said he responded well to treatment. Since then Rajinikanth was on normal diet. But doctors restricted visitors to the intensive care unit as anxious fans continued to crowd the hospital. The fans were constantly assured that the actor was responding well to treatment.

On May 21, a picture of Rajinikanth, dressed in blue hospital attire with his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth in the ICU, did the rounds on all micro blogging websites. His son-in-law Dhanush kept fans updated on Rajinikanth's health condition. The first news about Rajini being shifted to the ward came from Dhanush on Sunday. A release from the hospital said he was cheerful and was spending time with all the family members, watching IPL matches. It also said his vital parameters were stable.

He was admitted to the St Isabel's hospital in Mylapore on April 29 and was discharged the same day. Doctors said he was dehydrated and exhausted. On May 4, he was back in the same hospital. Doctors treated him for allergic bronchitis and diarrhoea.

Vikram Aiming For National Award

Though mainstream cinema and box office success is meant to be the spine for the film industry, the final glory for any actor is when they win a National Award. However, the coveted honour usually goes to those who come up with an offbeat movie or an unusual performance of character.

Right now, one actor seems to be eyeing for the priceless honour. He is none other than Vikram. Apparently, Vikram is gearing up to arrive with his new movie ‘Nanna’ and sources say he is playing the role of man with special challenges and his relationship with his daughter.

Inside talk is that Vikram has come up with a riveting performance and he would be a hot contender for a National Award next year. Vikram has teamed up with Anushka in this one who dons the role of a lawyer while Amala Paul is having a key role. After his unforgettable act in ‘Shivaputrudu’ perhaps it is time for yet another performance from the handsome hero.

Pawan Kalyan's Joker Under Sukumar Direction

Sukumar, who scored hit with the film '100 Percent Love' is now coming up with a film by placing Pawan Kalyan in the lead. The title of the film is 'Joker' and earlier it was intended to make with Allu Arjun.

The story of this film is going to be different from the routine formula films on Telugu screen but stands as greatest entertainer, say inside sources. The producer of this film is Allu Aravind.

It can be considered that Sukumar has got a bigger opportunity this time where he has to prove by making a commercial block buster with this. On the other hand Pawan fans are bit uneasy with the title ‘Joker’ but inside sources say that he is not a circus joker in the film but someone like a Joker in Cards game who possesses greater value than king!!

Dasari Failed To Lobby National Award

The veteran personality Dasari Narayana Rao may have passed his prime but many in the film circuit say he has got enough influence and clout to call the shots in important things. Incidentally, Dasari is notorious for his lobbying power during the state awards such as Nandi. However, his antics didn’t seem to have worked on the national level.

Though no one confirms, many vouch that Dasari used his sleight of hand and grabbed a Nandi award for himself recently. But this didn’t work at national level for his movie ‘Parama Veera Chakra’. One can recall how Dasari used to boast on various daises that Nandamuri Balakrishna will get National Award for best actor due to ‘PVC’.

As expected by many, those glorified statements came and went at those events only. Forget Balayya getting an award, the entire Tollywood has failed to make its presence felt even in the slightest way at the latest National Awards. Many are saying if only Dasari used his clout for the right reasons, he would have been hailed.

Hero Shivaji says heroines refuse to work with him

Rajinikanth undergoes dialysis, shifted to ICU

Actor Rajinikanth's condition worsened on Wednesday with doctors putting him through dialysis at a Chennai hospital, two days after he underwent a procedure to drain fluid accumulated in his lungs. The Tamil superstar was also shifted to the hospital's intensive care unit from the private ward where he was being treated since Saturday.

Doctors said they could not avoid or put off dialysis as the 61-year-old star's kidneys were not functioning normally. This was leading to increased fluid retention in his blood and a decrease in sodium and protein levels in the body.

The cine idol was admitted to hospital after he complained of breathlessness. He was diagnosed and treated for pneumonia and kidney problems. Doctors had removed fluid surrounding his chest that was pressing the lungs, causing breathing difficulty on Monday. He was given oxygen intermittently. Doctors gave him antibiotics and transfused blood.

"We decided to put him through haemodialysis. As of now, we don't know if he would require dialysis for life. We are hoping his kidneys will return to normalcy once his lower respiratory tract infection is cleared," said a doctor treating him.

Doctors have also restricted the entry of visitors. Anxious fans crowding the hospital to learn about Rajini's condition were constantly assured that he was responding well to treatment.

Rajini's fan clubs organized special prayers at temples across the country and provided free food to people.

The actor's family refused to comment.

Don't Come With Make-Up, Jagan Tells Roja!

One person who was conspicuous by her absence at the 48-hour Rythu Deeksha taken up by Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Guntur was actress-turned-politician Roja.

Her absence has led to speculations that something has gone wrong for her in the Jagan party. Interestingly, Roja did not actively participate in the campaign for Jagan in the Kadapa by-elections.

Initially, she toured a few areas, but later disappeared from the scene and nothing much was heard about her. Earlier, she used to participate extensively in television channel debates in support of Jagan, but suddenly she stopped it.

Even after Jagan’s victory, she did not participate in the channel debates, except giving phone-in bytes to a few channels, congratulating Jagan.

The rumours doing rounds in the media that Roja had been feeling sidelined in the YSR Congress party. Apparently, Jagan has not been involving her in any key discussions and on many occasions, she had to wait outside his chamber for several hours.

The main reason, according to these rumours, was that Jagan was not happy with the way Roja was coming to the party office with full make-up.

“This is not the shooting spot to display your glamour. Come to the party like any other party worker. You don’t need to come with a lot of make up and divert the attention of the other party leaders,” Jagan is believed to have told her, well in the presence of party colleagues.

It may be mentioned that hero-turned-politician Rajasekhar was also pulled up for coming to Jagan’s public meeting with a lot of glamour show. Jagan told him not to wear jeans and goggles while coming to political meetings. It looks like Jagan wants people to come to the meetings to see him, but not the filmy glamour faces.
